Why does the tool not fetch the exchange rate automatically?
Because the rate you actually price with in your pharmacy or clinic is the only correct one, and it differs from any published figure. A default number would have made every result after it wrong, so we let you enter it.
What is the difference between nominal and real margin?
Nominal margin is what you calculate at the moment of sale at today’s rate. Real margin is what remains after you rebuy the same stock at the new rate. If the rate rose in between, the difference comes out of your profit.
Are the numbers I enter stored?
No. The whole calculation runs inside your browser, nothing is sent to any server, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
